Getting Vet’s Benefits Straight

March 29, 2009 by Conservative Posts Leave a Comment

President Obama had fished around with the idea of eliminating veteran’s benefits for vet’s wounded while serving their country.  Luckily no fish were biting on this idea.

Veterans serve, knowing that should anything happen to them they’ll be taken care of, and rightfully so.  I don’t care how much of a deficit this country is in, the country’s number one priority is it’s military.  Without it, we have nothing.  Those cushy Wall Street jobs won’t be so cushy if at any moment the nation could come under attack with no one around to protect us.

Taking away veteran’s benefits equates to giving someone one more reason not to join the military in the first place.

Thankfully, the Obama administration made the right decision and left the vet’s benefits in place…for now.
